Terms & Ticket Policies

Terms & Ticket Policies

Effective September 01, 2026

These Terms & Ticket Policies apply to ticket purchases and attendance at events operated by Plants & Play, a brand operated by Initiate Influence LLC.

In these terms, “Plants & Play,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Initiate Influence LLC operating the Plants & Play brand.

By purchasing a ticket, accepting a transferred ticket, or attending a Plants & Play event, you agree to these terms.

1. Tickets and What Is Included

Each ticket grants one person admission to the Plants & Play event experience described on the applicable event page.

The experience includes a take-home plant, Plant Bingo, mini-games, trivia, and any other activities or materials identified in the event description. Plant Bingo and the other games are included with admission at no separate charge, and no cash prizes are awarded.

The number of plants, bingo cards, activities, and other included items depends on the ticket type and the description displayed on the event page at the time of purchase.

Bingo cards are included with admission at no additional charge and are not sold separately.

Unless an event listing expressly states otherwise:

  • Tickets must be purchased in advance through the Plants & Play website.
  • Tickets are not sold at the door.
  • Each attendee must have a valid ticket.
  • Seating is first-come, first-served.
  • Tickets are delivered electronically to the email address entered during checkout.

Customers are responsible for entering an accurate email address and retaining their order confirmation and ticket information.

2. No Gambling or Wagering

Plants & Play does not offer or permit gambling, betting, or wagering.

Guests do not stake money, property, or anything else of value on the outcome of Plant Bingo, trivia, mini-games, or other event activities. No additional payment is required to participate in the games included with admission.

All games are provided solely for entertainment. Prizes consist of plants or other merchandise, have no cash value, and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Plants & Play does not award cash prizes or accept wagers of any kind.

3. Refunds

Refund requests must be received at least 7 calendar days before the scheduled event start time.

Approved refunds will include the ticket price and applicable sales tax. Service and processing fees are nonrefundable unless Plants & Play cancels the event.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. The customer’s bank or card issuer may require additional time to post the refund.

Tickets are nonrefundable when a request is received fewer than 7 calendar days before the event.

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Late arrivals
  • Failure to attend
  • Requests submitted after the event has started
  • Failure to use some or all included activities, materials, plants, or prizes
  • Guests who are refused admission or removed for disruptive, unsafe, unlawful, or inappropriate conduct

4. Exchanges to Another Event

A request to exchange a ticket for another Plants & Play event must be received at least 7 calendar days before the originally scheduled event.

Each ticket may be exchanged to another event one time, subject to ticket and plant availability.

If the replacement event costs more, the customer must pay the difference before the exchange is completed. If the replacement event costs less, the difference will not be refunded.

Exchange requests received fewer than 7 calendar days before the event will not be approved.

5. Free Ticket Transfers

A ticket may be transferred to another person at any time before the ticket is redeemed. Advance notice to or approval from Plants & Play is not required.

The original purchaser may transfer a ticket by giving the recipient the applicable electronic ticket or QR code. The recipient should check in using the original purchaser’s name and order information if requested.

Ticket transfers must be made without payment. Tickets may not be sold, resold, auctioned, offered for sale, or exchanged for money, goods, or services.

Each ticket and QR code remains valid for only the number of admissions stated on the ticket. The first valid scan will be accepted. A ticket will not be accepted after it has been redeemed, refunded, canceled, duplicated, or otherwise invalidated.

The original purchaser is responsible for transferring the correct ticket and event information. Plants & Play is not responsible for disputes between a purchaser and a ticket recipient or for tickets shared with more than one person.

Any approved refund will be issued only to the original payment method.

6. Ticket Validity and Check-In

Each ticket and QR code is valid only for the number of admissions shown on the ticket.

The first valid scan will be accepted. Duplicate, copied, previously redeemed, refunded, canceled, or otherwise invalid tickets will not be admitted.

Plants & Play may request the original purchaser’s name, order number, confirmation email, or other reasonable order information during check-in.

Altering, reproducing, duplicating, or attempting to use a ticket more than its permitted number of times is prohibited.

7. Event Changes, Rescheduling, and Cancellation

Plants & Play may make reasonable changes to event times, locations, activities, plant varieties, prizes, or other event details when necessary.

If an event is rescheduled or moved to another venue, purchased tickets will remain valid for the new date or location.

Customers who cannot attend the changed event may request a refund within the deadline stated in the event-change notice.

If Plants & Play cancels an event and does not reschedule it, customers may choose:

  • A full refund of the ticket price, service and processing fee, and applicable sales tax; or
  • A transfer to another available Plants & Play event

Plants & Play is not responsible for transportation, lodging, meals, childcare, lost wages, or other incidental expenses connected with an event change, rescheduling, or cancellation.

8. Weather and Circumstances Outside Our Control

Plants & Play may postpone, relocate, modify, or cancel an event when circumstances outside its reasonable control make the event unsafe, unlawful, impractical, or impossible to conduct as planned.

These circumstances may include:

  • Severe weather
  • Dangerous travel conditions
  • Power outages
  • Venue closures
  • Government orders
  • Public-health emergencies
  • Supply interruptions
  • Labor disruptions
  • Other unexpected events outside our reasonable control

When reasonably possible, Plants & Play will notify ticket holders using the email address provided during checkout.

Refunds, rescheduling, and ticket-transfer options will be handled according to the Event Changes, Rescheduling, and Cancellation section of these terms.

9. Pricing, Availability, and Website Errors

Plants & Play attempts to keep event descriptions, prices, dates, times, locations, inventory, and availability accurate.

If a ticket is sold because of an obvious pricing, inventory, technical, or website error, Plants & Play may cancel the affected order and issue a full refund to the original payment method.

Plants & Play will not change the price of a valid completed purchase because the ticket price later increases or decreases.

Discounts, promotional codes, and special offers:

  • Apply only during the stated promotional period
  • Are subject to any conditions stated with the offer
  • Have no cash value
  • Cannot be applied retroactively
  • May not be combined unless expressly permitted

10. Plants and Prizes

Plants are living products and naturally vary in species, size, color, shape, maturity, and appearance. Specific varieties are not guaranteed unless expressly stated on the event page.

Plants & Play may substitute an included plant or prize with another plant or item of reasonably similar value when availability requires it.

Every attendee receives the plant or plants included with their ticket. Additional plant prizes may be awarded during complimentary games.

Game winners select or receive prizes according to the procedure announced by the event host. Decisions made by Plants & Play event hosts concerning game play, winners, ties, and prize order are final.

Prizes:

  • Have no cash value
  • Cannot be exchanged for cash
  • Cannot be returned or exchanged after selection
  • May vary from promotional photographs

Customers are responsible for caring for plants after receiving them. Plants & Play does not guarantee the continued health or survival of a plant after it leaves the event.

Some plants may be harmful or toxic if eaten by people or animals. Customers are responsible for researching each plant and keeping it away from children and pets when appropriate.

11. Attendance, Venue Rules, and Conduct

Guests must comply with reasonable instructions from Plants & Play staff and the host venue.

Age requirements may be imposed by a host venue, particularly where alcohol is served. Any known age restriction will be displayed on the event page.

Food, beverages, alcohol service, parking, accessibility, and venue operations are controlled by the host venue unless the event description states otherwise.

Plants & Play and the host venue may refuse admission or remove any attendee whose behavior is:

  • Disruptive
  • Threatening
  • Unsafe
  • Unlawful
  • Inappropriate
  • Interfering with other guests’ enjoyment of the event

No refund will be issued when a guest is refused admission or removed for such conduct.

12. Accessibility and Accommodation Requests

Plants & Play wants its events to be welcoming and accessible.

Guests who need a reasonable accommodation should contact hello@plantsnplay.com as early as possible before the event.

Please include:

  • The attendee’s name
  • The event name
  • The event date
  • The requested accommodation

Plants & Play will make reasonable efforts to coordinate available accommodations with the host venue.

Some accessibility features, parking arrangements, food service, seating configurations, and building conditions are controlled by the host venue.

13. Photography and Recording

Plants & Play may photograph or record events for social media, advertising, and other promotional purposes.

Guests who do not want to appear in promotional photographs or recordings should notify a Plants & Play host at check-in.

Plants & Play will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the request but cannot guarantee that a guest will not appear incidentally in a crowd or background image.

Guests may take personal photographs provided they do not interfere with the event, event staff, or the privacy and enjoyment of other attendees.

14. Assumption of Risk and Limitation of Liability

Participation in an in-person event involves ordinary risks associated with travel, crowds, food or beverages, live plants, venue conditions, and the actions of other guests.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Plants & Play, Initiate Influence LLC, and their owners, employees, contractors, event hosts, and host venues are not responsible for personal injury, allergic reactions, illness, loss, theft, damaged property, or other losses arising from event attendance or participation, except to the extent caused by conduct for which liability cannot legally be excluded.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the maximum liability for a claim related to a ticket purchase will not exceed the amount paid for the affected ticket.

Nothing in these terms waives a right or remedy that cannot legally be waived.

15. Payment Processing

Online payments are processed through third-party payment providers, including Stripe.

Customers are also subject to any applicable terms, verification requirements, and security procedures imposed by their selected payment provider.

Customers are responsible for promptly and honestly reporting suspected unauthorized transactions to Plants & Play and their card issuer or payment provider.

16. Email Communications

Customers must provide a working email address so Plants & Play can process the order and deliver necessary transactional communications.

Transactional communications may include:

  • Order confirmations
  • Electronic tickets
  • Refund confirmations
  • Transfer or exchange confirmations
  • Event reminders
  • Location, time, or venue updates
  • Rescheduling or cancellation notices
  • Safety information
  • Customer-service communications concerning the purchase

Transactional communications are part of the ticket purchase and may be sent regardless of whether the customer chooses to receive marketing emails.

Marketing consent is optional and is not required to purchase a ticket. Plants & Play will add a customer to its promotional email list only when the customer separately chooses to receive marketing communications.

Customers who subscribe to marketing emails may unsubscribe at any time. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent Plants & Play from sending necessary transactional communications concerning an order or event.

17. Changes to These Terms

Plants & Play may update these terms periodically.

The version posted at the time a ticket is purchased will apply to that purchase unless a change is required by law.

A later update will not retroactively reduce a customer’s rights concerning an earlier purchase.

18. Questions and Informal Dispute Resolution

Before filing a legal claim concerning a ticket purchase or event, the customer and Plants & Play agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve the matter informally.

The customer should email hello@plantsnplay.com with:

  • The purchaser’s name
  • The order number
  • The event name and date
  • A description of the issue
  • The requested resolution

Plants & Play will make a reasonable effort to respond and resolve the matter within 30 days.

This informal process does not prevent either party from using small-claims court or pursuing another remedy when immediate action is reasonably necessary or when applicable law does not permit that remedy to be restricted.

19. Contact Information

Questions and requests concerning refunds, exchanges, event details, accommodations, or other ticket matters must be sent to:

Plants & Play
Email: hello@plantsnplay.com

Please include the purchaser’s name, order number, event name, and event date when contacting us about an order.

20. Applicable Law and Severability

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.

To the extent permitted by law, legal proceedings concerning these terms or a Plants & Play event may be brought in a court with jurisdiction in Lorain County, Ohio.

Nothing in these terms eliminates any consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be waived.

If any provision of these terms is found unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary. The remaining provisions will continue in effect.
